Polo map introduction: Polo began in the Eastern Han Dynasty and flourished in the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty loved polo and often played circus games with his concubines such as Yang Guifei. Today, on the former polo field of the Daming Palace, a "Polo Picture" is painted, recreating the heroic appearance of the Ming Emperor and his concubines playing ball together.
