Introduction to the Hong Kong City Hall: The Hong Kong City Hall is located on the waterfront in Central, in front of the Central Star Ferry Pier and Queen's Pier, and next to Edinburgh Place. It is the first building in Hong Kong with culture and art as its main content.
The Hong Kong City Hall was built in 1962. It consists of two rectangular buildings, one high and one low. The high and low buildings are diagonally opposite to each other. The open space in the middle is a memorial garden, with a European War Memorial Pavilion built in the garden. The Marriage Registry located in the High Block of the City Hall is one of the first choice offices for Hong Kong people to handle marriage procedures.
