Introduction to the pagoda: There are two theories about the origin of the name of Xiangji Temple. One is that water from Xiangji Weir flowed into Chang'an City next to the temple in the Tang Dynasty, and the other is that it comes from the Buddhist scripture "Tianzhu is the land of many fragrances. The Buddha's name is Xiangji." Li Zhi, Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, once donated more than a thousand relics and hundreds of treasure flags and flowers to the temple as offerings, and named it Xiangji Temple.
