Introduction to Conch Island: Conch Island, also known as Xiujiao Island, got its name because the seawater rose and the rocks resembled a long-handled conch. The island is surrounded by reefs. The reefs are less than 300 meters long from east to west and less than 200 meters wide from north to south. The highest point at low tide is more than 10 meters. There is no one inhabited. There is an endless supply of seafood here. You can pick up shells on the beach, not only conches, fish and shrimps, but also starfish, sea urchins, red corals and marine life.
