Tianmen introduction: Climb the iron cable ladder to reach the cliff Tianmen. There are couplets on both sides of the Tianmen that say: "All generals and civil servants dismount their horses, and they will stop their horses to play the emperor's honors that day." Later, the two characters "upper and lower" were combined into "Wudang". This couplet was written by Wang Yangming, the imperial censor of the Ming Dynasty, during his tour of Xiaowudang Mountain in the third year of Zhengde's reign when he led troops to defeat the "Sansanli" (peasant uprising army). Ye Qi, a general of the Republic of China, also stationed troops here.
