Introduction to the Chiang Ancestral Hall: The Chiang Ancestral Hall is located on the right side behind Wuling Gate. This is the traditional place for ancestor worship, celebrations, weddings, funerals and other clan activities of the Jiang family in Xikou. They are all held here. Among them are the ancestral tablets of the Jiang family since the ancestor Jiang Shijie moved to Xikou in the late Yuan Dynasty. The horizontal plaque on the archway at the entrance of the ancestral hall with the words "loyalty and filial piety" was written by Chiang Kai-shek himself.
The ancestral hall is composed of two ancestral halls, the old and the new, with a total area of 3,000 square meters and a construction area of 1,800 square meters: the front is the new ancestral hall, which was funded and built by Chiang Kai-shek in 1930. The east wing of the new ancestral hall displays relevant information about the Chiang family. The historical materials of the ancestral hall also display Taiwan knowledge pictures jointly produced by the Taiwan Affairs Office and the Information Office of the State Council, which systematically introduce Taiwan’s history, cross-strait relations, the principles and policies of the Communist Party of China towards Taiwan, etc.; It was rebuilt in the 55th year of Kangxi's reign. The stage is connected to the middle gate, with double eaves on the top of the mountain and a spirulina well. Chiang Kai-shek once offered sacrifices to his ancestors, entertained his clan members, read genealogies and watched performances here. The funerals of Chiang Kai-shek's brother Jiang Jieqing and his first wife Mao Fumei were also held here.
