Introduction to Houjing Palace: Houjing Palace was first built in the Eastern Han Dynasty. According to legend, Wang Mang of the Eastern Han Dynasty chased Liu Xiu. When Liu Xiu fled through this place, he was hungry and could not escape. He met an old man who gave him food and saved him, and Liu Xiu was able to escape. After Liu Xiu became emperor, he did not forget the kindness of the old man, so he built a courtyard here, called Houjing Yuan, for the old woman to live in and take care of herself. After the old woman passed away, people took advantage of the courtyard to build a temple and named it Houjing Palace.
