Introduction to streets and alleys: The style and layout of Wan'an Old Street is very distinctive, mainly reflected in the typical Jiangnan water town style of "small bridges, flowing water, and people" and the fishbone-shaped streets and alleys that develop parallel to the Hengjiang River In terms of space style. There are 10 alleys in the old street, including Dashe Alley, Senmao Alley, Zaojia Alley, Lime Alley, Pawnshop Alley, Linting Alley, Huozhu Alley, Tunxi Alley, Yilong Alley and an unknown alley. Since many commercial activities were in stores in the old days, the spatial "alley" formed by the gables of the building was obviously one level lower than the street in width. The alley leading down to the pier, with the river as its background, does not appear to be very narrow.
