Introduction to Changchun Temple: Changchun Temple was built in the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1592). It was built by Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty on the order of his biological mother, Empress Dowager Xiaoding Li, to support Zen Master Shuizhai. Emperor Wanli named it "Changchun", which means health and longevity. It was sometimes known as the "first temple in the capital". After the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Changchun Temple began to decline. In 2005, Changchun Temple-Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum was opened to the public, and the Changchun Temple Scenic Area became a beautiful scenery showing the style of the ancient capital of Beijing.
