Introduction to the ancient Yanqiao: The Yanqiao was built in the 18th year of Wanli and was completed in the spring of March of the 20th year of Wanli. It was built by Zhang An, Zhejiang. The Yanqiao stone tablet is engraved with the words "Yanjia Bridge was built for free, and Zhang An of Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province took the lead in the construction." Yanqiao is a three-hole stone arch bridge. The middle hole is 5 meters wide, and the other two holes are each 4.5 meters wide. The bridge is 7 meters wide and 18 meters long. The guardrails on both sides are carved with four flats, four ends, four tips, four stone monkeys, and four mushrooms, each standing on the four corners. The bridge protection facilities cover an area of more than 20 acres. At the point where the bridge pier divides the water, there are two turtles facing the water. They are full of energy. One looks up to observe the sky, and the other looks down to observe the water conditions. The bridge is exquisitely carved and beautiful. Although it has gone through more than 500 years of vicissitudes, it still stands tall and carries the important task of transportation between the north and the south.
