Introduction to the Three Medicine Master Statues: Medicine Master Tathagata, Sunlight and Moonlight Bodhisattvas are collectively known as the Three Medicine Masters, also known as the Three Saints of the East. That is, the Medicine Master Tathagata, the central figure, has the Bodhisattva with the sun shining all over his body on his left side, and the Bodhisattva with the moonlight shining all over his body on his right side.
