Introduction to Dragon King Temple: Although Dragon King Temple is small in scale, it is the oldest building on Yantai Mountain. During the Tianqi period in the late Ming Dynasty, Yantai suffered from severe drought for many years. In order to pray for rain, the people voluntarily raised funds to build three thatched cottages on the top of Yantai Mountain to worship the Dragon King. On the day the Dragon King Temple was built, it rained heavily. People thought it was the appearance of the Dragon King. From then on, the Dragon King Temple in Yantai Mountain continued to be popular. The Dragon King is enshrined in the middle, with Feng Boyu Master on the left and Thunder God and Lightning God on the right. According to legend, the 18th day of the eighth lunar month is the day of the Dragon King Divine Meeting of the Four Seas. A temple fair is held on Yantai Mountain to pray for good weather and peace for the country and the people.
