Introduction to the ruins of Garni Castle: Located 27 kilometers away from Yerevan, it was built from the 2nd century BC to the 5th century AD. It was originally the summer palace of the Armenian king. The columned church in the castle is of Greek culture. The only remains of Armenian culture from the late period (1st century AD). In addition, there are ruins of protective walls and polytheistic temples with Greek and Roman Ionian columns from the 1st century AD. The ruins of large manor houses from the 1st to 3rd centuries include halls, rooms and bathrooms.
