Introduction to Zizhuyuan: Historical records: "Zhaojun Village is also known as Green Bamboo Village. The arrow bamboos are towering and block out the sky and the sun, but the only purple bamboo grows in Zhaojun's house", hence the name of Zizhuyuan. The three characters "Purple Bamboo Garden" were inscribed by Guo Moruo. The garden has winding paths and many murals and inscriptions, all of which were composed by Zhaojun. Rebuilt in 1992.
