Introduction to Li Zhi:Li Zhi (1527-1602), formerly known as Lin Zaizhi, also known as Wenling Jushi, was a Hui nationality in Quanzhou, Fujian. He was an official, thinker, Zen master, and writer in the Ming Dynasty, and was a great master of the Taizhou School. He emphasized that thinking about the people's livelihood and caring about people's lives is the "true doctrine"; he advocated individual freedom, equality between officials and civilians, and equality between men and women, which occupies an important position in the history of Chinese thought; he criticized the emphasis on agriculture and suppressed business, praised the achievements of merchants, and advocated utilitarian value. He is the author of representative works such as "Book Burning", "Continued Burning Books" and "Collection of Books".
