Introduction to the West Garden: The "West Garden" is located in front of the Ye family ancestral hall. It was built in the 56th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1791). It covers an area of nearly 1 hectare and includes a peony garden, a plum and bamboo garden, a landscape garden, pine and cypress gardens. The four main parts of the garden were built by Ye Junhua, a villager at that time, for his children to study and cultivate their character. They are famous for their "The Story of the West Garden" written by Yao Nai, a famous essayist in the Qing Dynasty and a representative of the Tongcheng School. The West Garden has been destroyed, leaving only the stone carving of the word "西园" on the front gate, the Xiyuan Creek, the Xiyuan Bridge, and the ancient camphor relics.
