Introduction to Gaocheng Village: Located 15 kilometers up from Dongshi, it is one of the more magical attractions on the Ancient Tea Horse Road in Dongshi. Its altitude is more than 600 meters higher than Dongshi. The village is held up by a group of mountains, hence its name. Behind the village is the primeval forest of Daxiong Mountain in Xinhua County. Historically, this village was a transfer station between Baoqing, Xinhua, Anhua, Yiyang and other counties. Caravans transporting tea, salt, Chinese medicinal materials, etc. had to stay here overnight. Some warehouses were also set up here. The transit warehouse has the reputation of a mountain city. There are more than 300 century-old trees in Guanshan in Gaocheng, making it the village with the most ancient trees.
