Introduction to the reserve: Xiaoxi National Nature Reserve is adjacent to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Mengdong River Scenic Area. It is an important tourist passage connecting Xi'an, Chongqing to Zhangjiajie Scenic Area and Guizhou Huangguoshu to Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. The reserve mainly protects the mountainous evergreen broad-leaved forest ecosystem, with more than 1,500 species of plants.
