Introduction to Wanshou Palace: Wanshou Palace was built in 1838 with a construction area of 2,400 square meters. There are six wells and three courtyards in the palace, which are divided into Shangqing Hall, Yuqing Hall and Taiqing Hall. The hanging tooth lace in each hall is exquisitely carved and beautiful. Especially when building a house, landmarks such as dragon heads, dragon nozzles, dragon noses, dragon eyes, and dragon horns were specially designed to integrate the concept of "the universe of heaven and earth, the yin and yang, the eight trigrams, and the true essence" and the emperor's "nine-five emperors" with Longtan. The ingenious combination of dragon culture makes the cultural connotation of "Wanshou Palace" broad, profound and mysterious. For hundreds of years, in the border areas of the four provinces of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, and Guizhou, there has been a widespread rumor that "the Wanshou Palace was built for Emperor Qianlong's visit to the south of the Yangtze River." Banditry in the city's border areas was a disaster, and Emperor Qianlong was unable to make the trip. Although Emperor Qianlong did not come here, the magistrate of Youyang held a large-scale congratulatory ceremony for the enthronement of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty in the "Wanshou Palace", and also held a grand celebration for the 60th birthday of Empress Dowager Cixi, which made her famous for a while.
