Introduction to Jiangxia Tidal Experimental Power Station: Yueqing Bay has a large tidal range and is extremely suitable for the development of tidal energy. There is now a Jiangxia Tidal Experimental Power Station built in the bay. Since it started generating electricity in 1986, it has used tidal energy to generate 162 million kilowatt-hours. The power station’s six bidirectional bulb tubular turbine generator units have a total installed capacity of 3.9 MW, ranking third in the world after the Lens tidal power station in France and the bidirectional tidal power station in Annapolis, Canada.
