Yuanmou hominin and Yuanmou hominin culture introduction: Yuanmou hominin was discovered in 1986, mainly including four fossil sites: Baozi Dongqing, Butterfly Liangzi, Fangbei Liangzi and Lei Lao. The state and county cultural relics departments have jointly investigated and excavated many times, and nearly 3,000 fossil specimens of ancient ape teeth and jaws (fragments) have been unearthed. This is the area with the largest number of ancient ape fossil specimens unearthed. "Research on the Origin and Environmental Background of Early Humans" concluded that Yuanmou hominin was 6 million to 8 million years ago, slightly earlier than Lufeng hominin; in 1986, Li Zixiu, a Yi girl, discovered the first hominin tooth fossil in the local Baozidonggou , through a comparative and comprehensive study of the skull, jaws, teeth and associated mammals of Yuanmou hominin, it is believed that Yuanmou hominin is at the base of hominid evolution and may develop in the direction of human evolution.
