Introduction to the Shimen Cliff Carvings: The Gate Cliff Carvings are located on a 50-meter-high cliff on the west bank of the Nu River in Dangda Village, 400 meters east of Cikai Town, Gongshan County. Next to the ancient post road from Gongshan to Fugong, it is called Shimen because of the dangerous terrain. In the 38th year of the Republic of China (1949), Liang Zhiyan, the administrative director, inscribed the word "Shimen" on it. There are still three stone inscriptions and two banners here. He wrote four words: "Thousands of families live in Buddhahood". One of the stone tablets, it was erected in the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947). The inscription is 1.3 meters high and 0.78 meters wide. It has 14 lines and 316 words in total. It describes the incident in which the people of Gongshan expelled Lai Huisheng, the director of the government.
