Niru introduction: Niru is located in the northeast of Shangri-La County, Yunnan Province, 75 kilometers away from the county seat. The annual average temperature in the territory is 20°C, and the rainfall is 5,800 mm. The rainy season mostly occurs from June to October. Due to the low altitude, plants grow luxuriantly. There are patches of white birch forest growing there, all golden in autumn. The spruce and fir trees in the mountains are tall and strong, pointing straight into the sky. The canopy of the trees is dense and green, providing shelter from wind and rain. There are many rare birds and animals such as musk deer, bear, Tibetan pheasant, monkey and lynx inhabiting the forest. This is an eternal and peaceful pure land described in James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon". It is also the only virgin land in Shangri-La. It is located in Luoji Township, Shangri-La, with an altitude of 2,705 meters. It is surrounded by lush green mountains, covered by forests, and has beautiful primitive scenery. Landscape, and located in the hinterland of "Three Parallel Rivers", there are Shangri-La's famous pastures. There are various natural landscapes such as Nanbao Ranch, Diji Ranch, Xiadiaoge Ranch, Colorful Waterfall, Dingru Lake, Selye Lake, glacial snow peaks, cave rivers, geological diversity and so on.
Transportation information: There are two ways to enter Niru. You can choose to hike from Zhudu Lake for 10 hours, or take a bumpy off-road vehicle for 3 or 4 hours from the newly built dirt road in Luoji Township.
