Introduction to the Black Forest: There are tens of thousands of acres of contiguous virgin forest in the uninhabited land at the back of Yaowang Valley, most of which are covered by tall and straight fir trees. From a distance, it looks dark, with almost no sunlight visible in the forest. It is called the "Black Forest" by local mountain people. Mountain people say that the wild boars in the forest are bigger than people, and that the gastrodia elata under the trees has become a spirit.
