Introduction to Xilan Kapu: According to legend, there was a smart and beautiful girl Xilan in the Tujia village. She was ingenious and loved brocade weaving. She often went to the ginkgo forest on the mountain to collect flowers, and then weaved the flowers onto cloth, which made the ginkgo Prince Garp in the forest fell deeply in love with her. Unfortunately, her jealous sister-in-law discovered that Xilan wanted to elope with someone. She was so angry that her brother picked up an ax and chased her. Unexpectedly, Xilan and Garp were struck by the axe. Xilan died when a tree fell down and hit her. In order to commemorate the girl Xilan, the Tujia people named her brocade "Xilan Kapu" to continue their touching love story.
