Introduction to Yaowang Temple: Yaowang Temple is backed by a cliff and faces an abyss. It is three rooms wide and has painted pillars and carved beams. The hall is dedicated to the Medicine King Bodhisattva and famous doctors such as Bian Que, Hua Tuo and Sun Simiao. It is said that when Sun Simiao was practicing Taoism in Yaowangdong, he sent doctors and medicines to the local people and saved their lives. Later generations were moved by his spirit, respected him as the King of Medicine, and built this temple to commemorate him.
