Introduction to Daxiangshan Temple: Xiangshan Temple began in Fu Qin and flourished in Yao Qin. It has a history of more than 1,660 years. It is one of the eight major Buddhist holy places in China and one of the three major temples in Shaanxi Province. Legend has it that the founder of Xiangshan Temple, Princess Miaoshan, was the incarnation of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, the Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara. The temple has a deep connection with the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Dojo on Mount Putuo, and is known as "North of Xiangshan, South of Putuo".
