Introduction to the Monument of Tianfei’s Lingying:The Monument of Tianfei’s Lingying is commonly known as Tianfei’s Monument and Zheng He’s Monument. It is the winter of the sixth year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty (1431), Zheng He’s seventh mission to the West. It was erected when the wind was blowing in Changle. It is the only existing stone tablet written by Zheng He himself. The stele is 162 centimeters tall, 78 centimeters wide, 16 centimeters thick, and the base is 29 centimeters high. The forehead of the stele is engraved with the seal inscription "The Legend of the Concubine of Heaven." The inscription contains 1,177 words in regular script. It narrates the purpose and significance of the voyages to the West, the process and results of the first six voyages to the West, and the mission of the seventh voyage to the West, as well as the construction of temples, palaces, halls, carvings of stele, and casting of bells in Changle.
