Introduction to the gate of Nanxu Jingyu: It is said that at the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, the north was in chaos, while the Eastern Jin Dynasty settled in the south of the Yangtze River and established its capital in Jianye (today's Nanjing). At that time, people from the north were going south one after another. The Eastern Jin Dynasty established Xuzhou for this purpose, and the state government was at Jingkou (now Zhenjiang). By the Liu and Song Dynasties, it was officially named Nanxuzhou. From then on, "Nanxu" has been another name for Zhenjiang. There is a couplet on the gate: "The land is narrow, the sky is wide, the rivers and mountains are majestic, and the mountains and rivers are majestic, and the floating waves roll around the buildings from Sun Wu." This couplet was written in seal script by Su Jiankuan, a famous calligrapher and painter in Zhenjiang in the late Qing Dynasty. It also expresses the meaning of Beigu Mountain. The majestic momentum also points out the construction era of Ganlu Temple. It can be said to be clear and concise.
