Introduction to Shangtang Ancient Commercial Street: Since the Ming Dynasty, Zhuge Village is located at the junction of three cities and has developed transportation. There are many merchants from the south and the north, so the villagers have successively opened many shops in the residences close to the avenue. Teahouses and restaurants used to serve merchants and passers-by. Since then, various grocery stores and handicraft workshops have appeared one after another. In the Qing Dynasty, businessmen from nearby areas were attracted to settle here, gradually forming a prosperous Shangtang commercial district.
The ancient street was destroyed during the Great Leap Forward. Villagers restored the area in 2000, recreating the prosperity of the old streets where shops were lined up in rows, and providing tourists with a colorful and dazzling tourist service center.
