Introduction to the Shifang: The current Shifang is the only remaining one from the ruins of the Old Summer Palace. It was built around 1762. The Shifang is 21.5 meters long and 5.3 meters wide. It was originally a waterfront building called the "Living Painting Boat". The base is carved out of bluestone in the style of a boat. The so-called "living" boat actually refers to the artistic conception of "flowing water passing by the window and moving clouds draped in the sky."
