Introduction to Mata Lake: Mata Lake was originally named Pingzhou. It is low-lying and slopes gently from southwest to northeast. Xiaofu River, Wu River and Zhulong River converge here to form a natural lake. According to legend, Duke Huan of Qi convened the princes in Huicheng on the east side of the lake area, so it was also named Huicheng Lake. The poet Su Dongpo once went boating on the lake and left behind a poem: "I was greedy to see the green cover with red makeup, but I didn't realize the frost on the lakeside overnight. I rolled up the brocade of heavenly clouds, and taught the horses to practice to write about the autumn light." People chose the word "Jinqiu" in the poem. Two characters are used to name the lake, so Mata Lake is also called Jinqiu Lake.
