Introduction to Kolob Arch: Kolob Arch is located in Zion National Park in Utah, USA. The Natural Arch and Bridge Association recognizes Kolob Arch as the second largest natural arch in the world. In 2006, the association measured the span of the arch at 87.6 meters, just slightly shorter than the Landscape Arch at Arches National Park in the United States. The naming of Kolob Arch is related to the Mormon religion that most people believed in when the local white people immigrated. The word "Korob" appears in the "Book of Abraham" in the Mormon classic "Pearl of Great Price" and is believed by Mormons. It is the planet closest to the abode of God, so Kolob Arch is also a very sacred place. The Kolob Arch stands on a high rock and is a spectacular formation caused by thermal expansion, internal pressure and erosion. Visitors can access it via two hiking trails, both of which are approximately 7 miles in length. The round trip is approximately 14 miles and takes 12 hours.
