My younger brother has been obsessed with rail transit for a long time. Ever since he learned last year that Chongqing has a light rail that runs through buildings and has the deepest subway in China, he has often talked about going to Chongqing. For him, going to Chongqing to experience rail transit is probably similar to a pilgrimage. . Due to the impact of the epidemic, it has been difficult for us to leave Shanghai, but we promised him that if we can leave Shanghai, our first stop will be Chongqing!

This time we will be in Chongqing for 7 days and 6 nights. The itinerary is as follows:

5.6: Arrive in Chongqing in the afternoon, Jiefangbei + Hongya Cave

5.7: Liziba Station light rail passes through the building + Yangtze River Cableway + Hongtu Station (the deepest subway station in China) + Crown Escalator

5.8: Ciqikou + Zhazi Cave

5.9: Wulong Tiankeng + Ground Crack

5.10: Chaotianmen Pier + Guanyin Bridge

5.11: Mountain City Trail + Chongqing Science and Technology Museum

5.12: Chongqing-Shanghai

Accommodation : We live in Longhu Times Street in Yuzhong District. Personally, I think this location is very good. First, the transportation is convenient. There are Lines 1 and 2 nearby, and 2 Shiyou Road Station of Line 1. It’s very close to Yuanjiagang Station of Line 2; secondly, life is convenient, this is a very large business district, and there are all kinds of restaurants and shops downstairs, which is very lively, but the noise will not affect your rest at night; thirdly, it is cost-effective and generally Generally speaking, the closer to the Jiefangbei area, the higher the hotel price will be. It is close to Daping Station, the price/performance ratio is good, and it will not delay our travel.

Xing: Chongqing’s rail transit is very developed and very convenient. Generally, when we travel, we consider rail transit first and taxi second. We only rented a car on the day we went to Wulong.

Since there is a lot of content, I will write a separate article based on the daily play content.

Day1: Jiefangbei + Hongya Cave

It was already past 3 pm when we arrived at Chongqing North Railway Station. We took a taxi directly to Longfor Times Street. After resting at the hotel, we went to have dinner. During this period, the two little ones almost refused to go out because they could see the light rail running downstairs from the hotel room window. They were very excited to see it and counted how many trains they watched.

After dinner, we took Line 1 and got off at Jiaochangkou Station. Within a few steps, we reached the Liberation Monument.

Every city has its own landmark buildings, and every landmark building is a condensation and testimony of a city’s history.

In 1940, the Nationalist Government moved the capital to Chongqing and designated Chongqing as its companion capital. It also built a monumental building in Chongqing to represent the nation's victory in the war of resistance - the "Spiritual Fortress". After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Chongqing decided to build the "Anti-Japanese War Victory Monument" on the site of the original "Spiritual Fortress" to commemorate the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. On November 30, 1949, when Chongqing was liberated, the Southwest Military and Political Commission decided to renovate the "Monument to the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War". Liu Bocheng, chairman of the Southwest Military and Political Commission, inscribed the name and renamed the "Monument to the Monument to the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War" as the "People's Liberation Monument". Liberation Monument.

Today's Liberation Monument stands quietly in the center of Duyou Street Square, surrounded by bustling scenes, skyscrapers, bright lights, eight streets and nine roads, and crowds of people. For a moment, it feels a little unreal, so far away from that place. Only a few decades have passed since this period of history, but the changes have been so earth-shaking.

After that, we walked slowly from Jiefangbei to Hongya Cave. The distance between the two places is very close and suitable for walking.

Hongya Cave is famous for its resemblance to the scene in Spirited Away, and you must come at night. The whole building is brightly lit, and you can feel the similarity with the soup house in Spirited Away.

Hongya Cave was originally Hongya Gate, which was the closed gate among the nine open, eight closed, and seventeen gates in old Chongqing. It was also a military fortress and the earliest and most developed trading port from the ancient Ba Kingdom to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nowadays, this is a Chinese cliff city built along the cliff, which is dominated by the "diaojiaolou" style that is the most traditional architectural feature of Bayu.

You can see Qiansimen Bridge from Jiefangbei, and our location is at the top of Hongyadong. To go to Hongyadong Scenic Area, you need to take the elevator or take the stairs down.

I thought that if I traveled during the off-peak hours and it was not a weekend, there wouldn’t be many tourists. But when I went there, I realized that this was not the case at all! There are so many tourists and the queue is very long. At this time, someone will sell tickets, saying that if you buy this kind of ticket (10 yuan/person), you don’t have to queue, otherwise you will have to queue for an hour and a half. We took a look and found that although the queue was long, it moved very quickly, so we made a reservation on our mobile phone and followed the queue in. In fact, we didn’t have to queue for a long time. Although the flow of people was large, everyone was moving forward, so it was quite fast. of.

Only when we entered did we realize that Hongya Cave was actually a large sky pedestrian street integrating eating, drinking and entertainment.

There were too many people waiting for the elevator, so we chose the stairs and walked down. If I remember correctly, I started walking down from the 9th floor and walked around.

When we got to the ground floor and looked up, we were surprised to find that a brightly lit fairy tale city had appeared!

If you ignore the crowds, you will really find this place very dreamy and very cute!

It can be seen that if you take pictures across the road, you should be able to get a better panoramic view.

But there were too many tourists, so we didn’t cross the road and took some photos.

I’ll also post two photos to show you the flow of people at that time~

Then take a taxi back to the hotel to recharge and continue tomorrow~
