"Child, your parents can help you realize your little dream now, but your big dream in the future will have to be realized by yourself!"

Day2: Liziba Station + Yangtze River Cableway + Hongdi Metro Station + Crown Escalator

Day 2 is a day for the brothers to realize their dreams, and it is also a day dominated by various means of transportation.

  • Liziba Station, the light rail train passes through the building

Liziba Station of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2 has become a very popular internet celebrity station because the light rail train passes through the building. This is one of the attractions that my brother misses the most!

Liziba Station is the first straddle-type monorail elevated station in China that co-exists with commercial and residential buildings. This station is located on the 6th to 8th floors of the building. Although co-construction and coexistence, due to the adoption of a station-bridge separated structural form, the rail station bridge and the structural support system of the commercial and residential building are set up separately, which effectively solves the problem of force transmission and vibration of the two structures. At the same time, the monorail train uses low-noise, low-vibration pneumatic rubber tires and air springs to support the car body, which minimizes the impact of vibration and noise caused by the train's movement.

The partition doors between the cab and carriage of Light Rail Line 2 are different from those of other light rail lines. It is probably designed with transparent glass for the purpose of experiencing passing through the building. Therefore, from the front part of the train, you can see the train moving forward and visualize it. Feel through the building.

We took the light rail line 2 directly to Liziba Station. After exiting the station, we went to the viewing platform on the bank of the Jialing River. This is an excellent place to watch the light rail pass through the building.

When I arrived at the viewing platform, I saw, wow, it seems that Liziba Station is also a very popular attraction! On a day that is neither a year nor a holiday nor a weekend, many people check in and take photos.

One side of the viewing platform is the Jialing River.

On the other side, the light rail passes through the building.

The two little ones watched here for a long time. For them, there was a sense of surprise and wonder that the scene they had been watching in the video suddenly appeared before their eyes!

There is an interesting cultural and creative store on the ground floor of Liziba Station. There are many light rail or subway models in it, not only from Chongqing, but also subway models from other cities across the country; promotional videos of Chongqing Rail Transit; souvenirs from Liziba Station, etc. .

  • Yangtze River Cableway, a bus carriage crossing the Yangtze River

After leaving Liziba Station, our next stop is the Yangtze River Cableway.

To get to the Yangtze River Cableway, you can take Line 1 to Xiaoshizi Station and exit from Exit 5A.

We continued to take Line 2 at Liziba Station and got off at Jiaochangkou Station, the final station, and walked to the Yangtze River Cableway. In fact, we took a lot of unnecessary steps. But there is another reward. On the way, we passed the Bayi Food Street near Jiefangbei. The scale of snacks there is spectacular! Lunch will be done there.

The Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway was built in the 1980s and is an important means of transportation connecting Chongqing's Nan'an District to Yuzhong District. The cableway is 1,166 meters long, spanning the Yangtze River and passing between buildings, with a speed of 6 meters per second. With the improvement of urban traffic, the ropeway was temporarily suspended and resumed operation in the form of tourism in 2012.

Fare: 20 yuan/person for one way, 30 yuan/person for round trip.

This is also a ropeway that has appeared many times in film and television works. I think this ropeway is very different from other ropeways I have ridden in the past. It is that a bus carriage crosses the Yangtze River!

There was a long queue for the Yangtze River Cableway. From the time we bought the tickets to actually getting on the cableway, we waited for more than an hour and a half. Moreover, there were a lot of people in the carriage, and it was full of people. In fact, the experience was not as good as I imagined. But since we all went to Chongqing, it didn’t hurt to experience this kind of ropeway that I had never experienced before.

  • Hongdi Metro Station, the deepest metro station in China

From the Yangtze River Cableway, take Line 6 directly at Xiaoshizi Station and go directly to Hongtu Station.

Hongtui Subway Station is 94 meters deep, equivalent to the height of a 31-story building. It is currently the deepest subway station in China.

After we exited the station, we re-entered the station, got off 7 long elevators, and finally boarded Line 10. Line 10 is deeper than Line 6.

  • Crown Escalator, the longest one-level escalator in China

Transfer to the subway and arrive at Lianglukou Station. When you exit the station, you will see the sign for the Crown Escalator.

The Crown Escalator is imported from Russia. It was completed and put into operation on February 18, 1996. It is 112 meters long, with a drop of 52.7 meters and a slope of 30 degrees. The whole journey takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The one-way ticket price is 2 yuan. Although it is nicknamed the "Mountain City Heartbeat Accelerator" due to the large drop, steep slope, long vision and strong impact, I personally feel that it is actually okay. Even though it was our first time riding it, we did not feel nervous.

The evening ended perfectly with a delicious Chongqing hot pot meal~

This day was a day for the two children, especially the younger brother, to realize their dreams. Everything he wanted to see and experience came true today.

I don’t know if his little heart can accurately understand the sense of accomplishment, satisfaction and happiness of a small dream being realized. Perhaps, I am still confused, excited but don’t know how to express or describe it; perhaps, it is just a hazy feeling.

However, being able to experience this feeling and remember this feeling may turn on another switch for him and light up an unknown light for him; or maybe, just being simply happy is also a good thing. What a pleasure~
