The section of road from Mohe to S219 (S204 in the Inner Mongolia section) to Mangui Town can be said to be the first "no man's land" I experienced. In addition to a few forest management stations and protection points, there are also There is an "Aoluguya Ewenki National Township", and I have not encountered any other large villages. This is a mysterious Shilu tribe in the Greater Khingan Mountains, but they are now settled, and those who are interested can learn about it on their own.
In addition to being uninhabited, the roads here are also notoriously bad. They are simply deadly. Ups and downs, gravel roads, shell craters, washboard roads, and common off-road test roads can all be encountered here. As I said before The reason is that the temperature difference here is large throughout the year and the roads are not easy to repair. This is an objective reason.
But I don’t know why. I always feel that one section of this road is better maintained, but another section is not. It feels like it was built by different construction units. Here are a few pictures to give you a feel.
Later, after I posted several videos online and read the comments from netizens, I realized that this section of the road was not the worst. The section of Mordauga was the road that really cost me my life. As for how bad it was, Since I haven’t been there, I can just imagine the journey I took.
The stretch of road I took was probably more than 100 kilometers long, and the speed could not be increased at all. It was usually around 40km/h. Once I reached 50km/h and encountered a wavy road, the car would fly up and then "bang". When you land on the ground, you can clearly hear the feeling of the shock absorber spring being compressed to the end. No one can overtake anyone else on this road. Even a Prado will still slow down before encountering a bigger pit. It’s not known how deep the pit is, unless it doesn’t care about bumping the chassis or something.
Because there are no villages in front or behind, it is not safe to sleep here at night. The main reason is that there may be wild animals at night, such as bears and wolves. I basically didn’t stop much along the way. As for the scenery, it can be said to be beautiful, or it can be said to be average. This feeling is that after driving for a few days in an environment surrounded by trees, it just feels like that.
The only thing that can go fast in this kind of road conditions is motorcycles. During the period, I encountered a group of motorcycles crossing, which is called "fast". I tried their speed and found that they could reach about 70km/h. My car It was impossible to follow them, they were gone in the blink of an eye. On such a road, a motorcycle can go around very quickly. Unless the entire lane is a pothole, a four-wheeled vehicle cannot go around it. No matter what, one wheel will always be pressed into the pothole.
After a long bumpy ride, we finally arrived at Mangui Town. There was a gas station (Xing'an Petroleum) on the roadside. I checked that it was still some distance from Genhe, so I thought about filling up with gas, but the gas attendant here was very nervous. , yelling that I couldn’t come out to refuel for a long time, I was speechless. Just when I was about to get in the car and leave, I found that the front lower lining of the chassis was about to fall off.
I climbed in and took a look. It must have slipped down the road I just took. I found a zip tie from the car belt and tied it up. At this time, I was worried and walked around the car again to see if there was any damage elsewhere. I found again that the right front wheel was bulging.
But from the looks of it, it’s not too serious. As long as the longitude and latitude lines inside are not broken, it can last for a while. But the key issue now is that this is the front wheel. As a driving wheel, it is not safe to run like this, so I found a car repairman in Mangui to adjust the front and rear wheels.
Thanks to this owner, I charged 20 yuan to change the tire and 5 yuan to inflate and deflate the tire. Why should we inflate and deflate tires? The heavy parts such as the engine are all in the front part, so they have to bear a relatively heavier weight. After moving to the rear, you need to deflate a little bit, and there are still bulging tires. When the rear tires are moved to the front, the display on both sides will not work. Same, just recharged a little bit.
There is a problem that needs attention here. It is best not to exceed the tire's rated air pressure. Generally, this air pressure is higher than the marked air pressure of the vehicle itself. The air pressure required for normal driving of the vehicle can be seen on the B-pillar on the driver's side.
The next step is to search for tires online. Either there are no tires of the same brand and size for my car, or it will take several days to be shipped from other places. After searching on a certain tiger for a long time, Genhe's family was nowhere to be found. I had no choice but to call and ask one by one. Later, I contacted the boss Ge of an auto repair shop in Hailar, Hulunbuir. He was very nice. After hearing my situation, he said that he could buy it from other places while ensuring the basic price. Bring one over.
This is indeed a bit difficult. Firstly, I want one. Secondly, it has to be a specified size and a specified pattern of the brand. I don’t want the four wheels to look different. After communicating with the boss, we went to Hulunbuir.
This section of the road was finally safe. Although the drone got stuck in a tree and was taken down, there was no serious failure. Although the tire was bulging, fortunately there was only one, so it was not too serious. The road is much better after passing Mangui Town. In my impression, it seems to be after passing Aaron Mountain, and it is almost a flat cement road.
In the evening, we arrived at the coldest town in my country: Lenggi Village in Jinhe Town. As usual, we found a place to camp close to the town but slightly secluded. For today’s near miss, I decided to cook some meat to reward myself.
Although it didn’t look very good, to me, who had been driving for a whole day, it was simply a delicacy in the world. I ate it up in as little as three times. If you ask me why I ate it in the car, I Let me tell you it's really freezing outside. It's not cold, it's freezing. It's June, and the temperature is over 20 degrees in many places. It's still hovering around 10 degrees here. It rained in the middle of the night, and it dropped to 9 degrees. I estimate that the temperature outside at that time might have been around 5 or 6 degrees. I felt quite cold and woke up several times in the middle of the night.
Today's day has almost ended like this. Thinking back on the road we walked, I sincerely admire and praise those seniors who transported the forest trees on worse roads than this.
