When editing Moments, I wanted to borrow this poem from Su Shi. However, I was worried that the words would not convey the meaning and ruin the original splendor, so I gave up in the end.

When we arrived at Mount Emei, the sky was dark and it was raining heavily.

There are stranded people standing outside the high-speed rail station. It seems that many of them are like us. The heavy rain has disrupted their journey plans and they are hesitant about the destination ahead. Gritting our teeth, we took a taxi to the scenic spot in the rain. The rain continued to fall, and the two wipers were fighting alone in front.

When we arrived at the passenger terminal at the foot of the scenic spot, the display screen in the station hall had already informed us that departures would be suspended! By this time, it was already past two o'clock in the afternoon.

This was a temporary trip. Lao Zhao was in Chengdu on business, so we made an appointment to travel together. We arrived at the station 20 minutes early in the morning, but we missed the time because the breakfast was too hot, which was really a bad start.

But if we had gotten on the bus on time, we probably wouldn’t have been in a good situation on the mountain at this time!

Taking advantage of the rain to subside, we settled in a nearby hotel. The boss enthusiastically described the way and time to go up the mountain. The detailed guide made me suspect that this was a "paid consultation", but in the end no payment was made. The boss just said that please give me a good review so that people can't refuse.

The room was on the fourth floor. Outside the window was Mount Emei, with green mountains and white mist. The scenery was unique and beautiful. It was like an unexpected surprise, so we began to look forward to the next day's journey.

It was only six o'clock, and the sky was already bright. We forced ourselves to sleep and started a new day.

After following the rickety bus for more than an hour, we started to get off and walk. The mountain is not much different from other mountains, with uniform stone stairs winding all the way up. The mountains are filled with large hazy clouds and mist. Although they restrict our vision, they also add a lot of mystery. The humidity and cold brought by the fog also allowed the vendor to successfully trick us into buying two scarves.

The mountain road is full of fireworks, there are an endless stream of tourists, and vendors sell hot food. From time to time, masters carrying sliding poles passed by. Although this is a unique tourism project in southwest China, Lao Zhao and I agreed that it was more like "squeezing".

The journey was not too tiring, and most of the time was spent queuing for the ropeway. This is the price of a day trip, in pursuit of speed. It’s hard to imagine that at this time the next day, I was already immersed in the cubicle again. This was destined to be a short escape without immersion.

After passing through the mountainside, the top of the mountain was covered with blue sky and white clouds, and it was clear. In the distance, a corner of the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva had been revealed. We sat down and ate two bowls of noodles, and listened to the travelers going up and down the mountain gathering here to exchange what they had heard. The indifference disappeared here, and the hearty laughter contained the kindness from strangers.

When I turned around the stone stairs and saw the huge statue of Samantabhadra, I was really shocked. Even if the sun is blocked, the 48-meter golden body still shines brightly, standing on the top of the mountain. The incense in the cauldron is burning vigorously, filled with wishes from all over the world. I also want to make a wish, but what wish do I have? There is a saying in Buddhism about "paying one's vows". When will you come next? I hesitated and walked away again.

The sound of the Great Compassion Mantra intertwined with the smell of incense candles in the square. There were devout pilgrims kneeling directly on the stone slab at the entrance of the main hall with firm eyes. For a moment, I had the urge to cry. I thought of my grandma, who was also a devout believer. She often took me to the temple when I was a child. She had walked through many temples, large and small, but had no chance to take a look here. Nowadays, it is difficult for grandma to use her legs and feet for daily travel, let alone going up the mountain. At this time, she felt that the slider seemed to be a good choice.

The sky on the mountain changed quickly, and it was shrouded in fog again in the blink of an eye. People could not be seen clearly from three to five meters away. As we went down the mountain, we felt sorry for the people who were climbing the mountain.
On the way down the mountain, I met monkeys. They climbed among the branches like free elves. But places with monkeys are crowded, and people hold all kinds of food in their hands to lure them to them. If a monkey takes a bite of the food and then throws it away, it will make people laugh. It looks like it is content. It's a monkey, and I don't know who is looking at whom.

Along the way, I was very worried about the possibility of a naughty monkey snatching my backpack and mobile phone. , warning signs are posted everywhere in the mountains. Now I realize that such worries are unnecessary. Those who are robbed are probably those who feed them.

"Only when you have walked in the vastness can you know the insignificance of a person." What happens after you understand your own insignificance? Jia Zhangke didn't say. He just said that knowing that the truth is not easy to grasp, he no longer makes excuses. Knowing that all things have animism, you no longer think only of yourself.

When walking on the top of mountains, walking in concrete cities, sitting on bright planes, lying in narrow green leather trains, we seem to be always running on the road. What are we pursuing at this time?

Understanding the truth makes people humble, but most people around them don't understand it, or don't want to understand it. At this time, it is too tiring to be a lone person independent of them. Joining will make me feel better, but...so when I meet independent people and thoughtful people, I always admire them. They often do not lack courage.

No, this seems to be another extreme.
