▲The altitude gets lower and lower as we go, almost all downhill throughout the day. However, due to the road reconstruction after the earthquake, the road conditions are very bad, with potholes and frequent disconnections.
▲The temperature is gradually getting higher, the vegetation is starting to turn green, there are more and more varieties, and you can see flowers in bloom.
▲As we walked slowly along the Minjiang River, the sky was foggy, and I felt a sense of depression that had nowhere to vent.
▲Goodbye Qiang folk houses
▲When a cyclist sees this kind of zigzag road built on a hillside, it’s like a donkey seeing a young mare, and he can’t help but feel inexplicably excited.
▲Entering Wenchuan, this is the new school site of Wenchuan Middle School
▲This is called Moon Mountain or something
▲The newly built Wenchuan residential community on the banks of the Yanmin River
▲Modern buildings made of reinforced concrete cannot withstand earthquakes, but ancient wooden buildings are helpless.
▲You can no longer see the appearance of the catastrophe
▲High-rise buildings are rising from the ground. It is said that the tallest building in Wenchuan before the earthquake was 4 floors.
▲We have been looking forward to the Wenchuan Museum for several days. There is a notice at the door saying that it will be closed for renovations starting yesterday. Why is it so small?
▲The same goes for the library, which is closed.
▲Local people say that the people who were very poor here used to be prosperous due to the earthquake.
▲Yu was the first emperor of the Xia Dynasty, so later generations also called him Xia Yu. He is a sage emperor comparable to Fuxi and Huangdi in ancient Chinese legends. His most outstanding achievements are the control of monstrous floods, the demarcation of Kyushu, and the establishment of the Xia Dynasty. Later generations called him Dayu.
▲Mianli Town, Wenchuan County, is a place rich in history and culture. It was called Hanshui Station in ancient times and was an important post station for officials in the past dynasties. It not only has the legend of mythical beasts, but is also the hometown of Dayu. Many cultural relics such as King Yu's Palace are still preserved.
▲Mianhui not only has legends about mythical beasts, but it is also said that Dayu was born in Shiniu Mountain in Mianhui. Mianhui is also one of the main settlement areas for the Qiang people.
▲Because the destination Huanglong River is right in front of us, I am not in the mood to visit Mianhui Ancient Town.
▲Take photos and leave after
▲After leaving Wenchuan, all the vehicles got on the expressway. National Highway 213 became my own expressway. However, the good times did not last long. After more than 20 kilometers, the road was cut off. I asked a road builder if my bicycle could go on the expressway? He said if you don’t want to take the expressway, go there! It was really frightening to see the 213 National Highway plunge into the river and have to get on the highway and pass through three tunnels of more than 5 kilometers. The large transport vehicles under construction in the tunnels were one after another, roaring like wild beasts.
▲Hurry off the expressway when you get to Yingxiu. Even if you climb mountains, you don’t need to take the expressway tunnel. I originally planned to go to Yingxiu tonight, but I didn’t expect that walking alone would be faster. I arrived in Wenchuan at 11 o’clock and arrived in Yingxiu at 2:30.
▲The peaceful and peaceful Yingxiu Town is also a new generation town reconstructed after the disaster.
▲The ruins of Xuankou Middle School, which became nationally famous after the Wenchuan earthquake
▲In October 2006, due to the construction of Zipingpu Reservoir, Xuankou Middle School, originally located in Xuankou Town, Wenchuan, was moved to Yingxiu Town. At that time, the campus had a total investment of 65 million yuan, covering an area of 33,000 square meters, with 1,527 students and 133 teachers.
▲The devastating Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, 2008 caused serious damage to the teaching building and dormitory building of the school, killing 55 teachers and students. In addition, 27 students and 2 teachers were seriously injured, 3 of whom had their legs amputated, 12 students became orphans, and 21 single families were created.
▲The clock will always stay at that moment: 14:28:04 on May 12, 2008 (Monday)
▲All school buildings of Xuankou Middle School sank and collapsed in the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake.
▲After the earthquake, only 3 floors of the 5-story building remained. The 3rd floor became the 1st floor directly, and the original 1st and 2nd floors turned into debris.
▲Xuankou Middle School was seriously damaged. During the post-disaster reconstruction, in order to remember and preserve this history, the ruins of Xuankou Middle School were preserved intact as a relic. It is a large-scale relic that was relatively completely preserved during the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. The site is also the venue for the central anniversary memorial ceremony for the 2009 "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake.
▲It’s hard to describe this feeling in words
▲It is said that there is a teacher and a student buried under this building. They are a mother and daughter.
▲The roaring corridor is still filled with immature but extremely frightening shouts
▲Seeing this, I only felt trembling in my heart, bursts of violent, heartbreaking, as broken as the twisted concrete!
▲After witnessing the tragic situation with my own eyes, I no longer dared to stay here and decided to rush to Dujiangyan, 45 kilometers away.
▲The closer we get to Dujiangyan, the denser the vegetation becomes, and the mist makes it feel like Chengdu.
▲On Dujiangyan, a bridge spans the lake like a rainbow.
▲This bridge is called Miaoziping Bridge, and it connects to the S9 Expressway on both sides.
▲Dujiangyan City is very large and prosperous. It takes about a few streets and we will stay on the road closest to tomorrow.
▲Cycled 132 kilometers today. We expect to arrive at the finish line ~ Huanglong Creek at two or three o'clock tomorrow afternoon!
▲When I’m out, I don’t pay much attention to what I eat. A bowl of fragrant and spicy noodles is already very satisfying.
