Fangfangshan National Forest Park in Hancunhe Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, has dense forests, beautiful peaks, deep caves, elegant environment, pleasant climate, and fresh air. As early as the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, monks built mountains here. The temple cultivates forests and has been given the reputation of "Suzhou and Hangzhou in the south and Shangfang in the north" by wandering workers of all generations. After more than 1,900 years of vicissitudes, Fangfang Mountain has the only well-preserved primary secondary forest in North China. It has now become a leisure, fitness, vacation and sightseeing resort that integrates mountains, forests, caves, temples and museums.

Fangfangshan Forest Park has a total area of ​​3.53 square kilometers, including 1.74 square kilometers of woodland and 1.63 square kilometers of shrub land. The forest coverage rate reaches more than 90%. It has the largest group of famous and ancient trees in Beijing, including more than 10 thousand-year-old trees. There are 34 first-class ancient trees and more than 4,000 second-class ancient trees.
