Travel tips for Wuxi Meiyuan Hengshan Scenic Area

Scenic spot introduction:

Wuxi Meiyuan Hengshan Scenic Area is named for the plum blossoms planted on the mountain and the plum blossoms used to decorate the mountain. After decades of continuous garden construction, the garden has formed four major features: "exploring plum blossoms in early spring, viewing lotus in midsummer, appreciating osmanthus in golden autumn, and walking on snow in midwinter". It has become a famous tourist destination integrating natural landscapes, cultural relics, famous flowers and plants, garden architecture, leisure and fitness, and "the mountains on all sides are picturesque, and there is no day without flowers to be seen all year round".

Attractions distribution:

Wuxi Meiyuan Hengshan Scenic Area is adjacent to Taihu Lake in the south and Longshan Mountain in the north. The garden was first built in 1912 by Rong Zongjing and Rong Desheng, two famous modern Chinese industrialists and businessmen. Rong Yiren, the son of Rong Desheng, later donated the garden to the government. In 1960, the garden department expanded the eastern new area, and in 1988 it was expanded to Hengshan, becoming a tourist attraction integrating famous flowers, greening, architecture and culture.
Wuxi Meiyuan Hengshan Scenic Area now has three main scenic spots: the Meiyuan Hengshan Scenic Area with the theme of plum culture and Rong family culture. Plum Garden Scenic Area ; and a combination of nature and garden landscapes of various styles Garden Expo Park ; Introducing exotic flowers and plants Huaxi Scenic Area .
