Middle and Upper Proterozoic The stratigraphic profile nature reserve covers an area of 900 hectares, starting from Changzhou Village, Xiaying Town, Ji County, and extending from northeast to southwest to Fujun Mountain near the county seat. There is a well-preserved ancient stratum in the reserve, with a total thickness of 9,197 meters and a profile length of about 24 kilometers. It is famous for its clear top and bottom, simple structure, extremely shallow metamorphism, and rich paleontological fossils. 1. Dahongyu Geology The three formations of Tuanshanzi Formation, Dahongyu Formation and Gaoyuzhuang Formation are spread out in this 3.5-kilometer-long ditch. More importantly, the boundaries between the formations are clear. Geology The phenomenon is concentrated here, and the earliest stromatolites and macroscopic multicellular algae fossils that appear in the profile are also concentrated here.
2. Visit and inspect the treasure house of "stromatolites". In the three ditches of "Qi0shagou", "Xiazhuangzixigou" and "Youjugou", there are many kinds of stromatolites with different shapes, such as: regular wall-shaped stromatolites, irregular wall-shaped stromatolites, Jixian Anebal stromatolites, Jixian Jixian stromatolites, Tieling Tieling stromatolites, etc. Walking into these three ditches is like entering a sea of stromatolites, which makes people dazzled and reluctant to leave.
3. Wangzhuang → Mulberry Garden Geology The entire route is the lower strata of the Wumishan Formation. This thick carbonate sedimentary rock system, mainly dolomite, is composed of many rhythms of varying sizes, a total of 413. The well-developed rhythm consists of five basic layers, namely: ① the top layer, formed in the supratidal zone; ② the upper layer, formed in the intertidal zone; ③ the middle layer, formed in the subtidal zone; ④ the lower layer, formed in the intertidal zone; ⑤ the bottom layer, formed in the supratidal zone.

Self-driving route: Take the Jinji Expressway toward Jixian City/Huangyaguan, turn onto the North Ring Road at the second exit of Jixian Interchange toward Zunhua/Eastern Qing Tombs, and drive along the Jinwei Line → Maying Highway to Changzhou Village, Xiaying Town.
