Scenic spot introduction:

Baiyan Mountain is known as the "Hundred Scenery Rock". Its majestic mountains, strange stone forests, and numerous natural landscapes are rare. The ancients called it "the best mountain in Fujian". Zhu Xi, a Neo-Confucian scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty, praised it as the "Eight Min Yuezu" after visiting Baiyan Mountain. Baiyan Mountain is named because the rocks on the mountain are as white as jade. The scenic spot is located in Sanxi Township, southwest of Minqing County, Fuzhou City. It is famous for its steep cliffs, layered square mountains and caves. At an altitude of more than 1,300 meters, at the junction of Minqing, Yongtai and Minhou counties, the Baiyan Temple on the mountainside has a history of thousands of years. Baiyan Mountain has towering peaks and strange rocks and caves. The volcanic activity in the Cretaceous caused Baiyan Mountain to rise abruptly from the surrounding low mountains, forming Baiyan Mountain with an altitude of 1,237 meters. This is the most complete and typical volcanic rock system. Geologically, this type of landform is named after Shimao Peak, the main peak of Baiyan Mountain, and is called the "Shimao Mountain Group".
