Gansu ancient Lingtai, with a long history and profound culture, is known as "the first platform for worshipping spirits in China". Lingtai was first built in the 11th century BC during the Shang Dynasty. It was built when King Wen of Zhou conquered the present-day Lingtai. Lingtai County The Mishu Kingdom in the Baili Town area was built to offer sacrifices to the gods and show virtue and to share happiness with the people. In the Tang Dynasty, it was officially named as a county. The original "Lingtai" faced north and south, and the platform was built with rammed earth. Historically, the "Lingtai" was destroyed and rebuilt twice. The "Lingtai" rebuilt in 1933 is made of blue bricks, with a bottom width of 12.3 meters and a height of 12.3 meters. The platform is divided into two floors, with an eight-diagram pavilion on the top and a Zhou sculpture inside. Statue of King Wen Legend has it that when it was built, two red-crowned cranes flew from the east, flew around the platform and chirped for three consecutive days, and perched on the ancient cypress of the Wenwang Temple, which caused a sensation in the county and was regarded as an auspicious sign.
