Longchuan in Jixi is an ancient village where people with the surname Hu live together. The whole village is in the shape of a boat. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers, and has a rich cultural heritage. There are a large number of Hui cultural relics and landscapes. It has a history of more than 1,600 years.

Longchuan Ancient Village is located in Jixi County in southern Anhui Province. It is also called Kengkou. The terrain of Longchuan Ancient Village is like a ship docked at the shore. It is surrounded by Longxu Mountain in the east, Dengyuan River in the east, Longchuan River in the south, Fengguan Peak in the west, and high mountains in the north. It is unique. Hu Yan, a regular attendant of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, guarded Shezhou and loved its Fengshui scenic spots. He moved his family here in the third year of Xiankang (337 AD).
Longchuan has been a place of flourishing literary style and gathering of talents since ancient times. The Hu family in the village has talented people from generation to generation. It is a famous "Jinshi Village" in Huizhou. The village developed to a peak period in the Ming Dynasty. More than 10 people passed the imperial examination. The most famous one was Hu Fu, who passed the imperial examination in the 14th year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1478 AD) and served as the Prince's Junior Guardian and Nanjing Minister of Revenue. 60 years later, Hu Zongxian passed the imperial examination in the 17th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1538 AD) and served as the Prince's Grand Guardian and Minister of War. Hu's Ancestral Hall ” (National Cultural Relics Protection Unit), “ Yishi Bookstore ” (provincial cultural relics protection unit), “Huizhou merchants Hu Bingheng's House " and "Hu Zongxian's Former Residence" (county-level cultural relic protection unit), etc.
Longxu Mountain to the east of Kengkou Village is named after its abundant dragon beard grass, a raw material for papermaking. There are many strange pines and rocks on the mountain, rare birds and animals, steep mountains, rugged ancient roads, waterfalls and springs. There are Longtai cliffs, Shimen Cave, Immortal Stone House, and Yunya Stone Stairs on the mountain. On the west side of the mountain are Longfeng Zen Temple and Guqiao's Temple. On the west foot of the mountain are Shanjian Temple, Zongxian Tomb, Hu Fu Tomb and other sites. It is an excellent place for cultural tourism, ecological tourism and religious tourism.
