Introduction to Hu Bingheng's House: Hu Bingheng's House is across the river from the Hu Ancestral Hall in Longchuan. The house was built in the Ming Dynasty. The courtyard faces south and has a brick and wood structure, a hard gable roof, and a horse head wall, which serves as the front hall and the back. The house is well laid out and covers an area of 180 square meters. The supports, bird rests and other components in the house are exquisitely carved. It is a typical Huizhou ancient residence.
Huizhou merchant Hu Bingheng and his son Hu Zengyu (father of Comrade Jintao) opened as many as seven teahouses in Taizhou, Shanghai and other places, and made positive contributions to Huizhou merchants' economy and culture.
