Xin'an Ancient City is currently the largest historical and cultural relic tourist attraction in Shenzhen, also known as Nantou Ancient City, with a long history of more than 1,730 years. During the Han Dynasty, the city was the residence of Yanguan. During the Three Kingdoms period, the "Wucheng" of Yandu Wei was built. In the 6th year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (331), the Donggong County City and Bao'an County City were built here. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the Xin'an County City. It is an important transportation hub between the Yangtze River and the sea and an important coastal defense military town. The Nantou ancient city we see today is the "Dongguan Guard Thousand Households City" built on the site of the old city by Cui Hao, the left guard of Guangzhou in the 27th year of Hongwu (1394).
