Zhouzhuang Ancient Town enjoys the reputation of "China's No. 1 Water Town" and is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. Zhouzhuang, which was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty, is located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. It has a unique cultural landscape. Western Jin Dynasty writer Zhang Han, Tang Dynasty poets Liu Yuxi and Lu Guimeng once lived in Zhouzhuang. More than 50% of the town is Ming and Qing style residential buildings with Jiangnan characteristics. There are nearly 100 classical houses and more than 60 Suzhou brick doorheads in an area of only 0.4 square kilometers. It is a treasure of Chinese water town culture and Wudi Han culture. The ancient town is built along the river, with streets connected by bridges, deep courtyards, heavy ridges and high eaves, riverside corridors, street arcades, bamboo and stone railings, and riverside pavilions. Fuan Bridge , Double Bridge , Shen Hall There are ancient buildings scattered among them, creating a quaint and quiet Jiangnan beauty with small bridges, flowing water and houses.In addition to being the most famous ancient town tourist destination in China, countless collectors, painters and photographers come to Zhouzhuang every year to create art. The transportation around Zhouzhuang is well developed, with expressways and railways crisscrossing. From north to south, there are the Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Suzhou-Shanghai Airport Expressway, National Highway 318, Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway, Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway, etc. You can take a taxi or tricycle from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
