Introduction to Ye Chuqian's former residence: Ye Chuqian's former residence is located on Xiwan Street in the center of the ancient town. The house was first built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally known as "Zuyintang". The courtyard faces the river from south to north, with three doors and five entrances. , which has been repaired several times. In 1887, Ye Chuqin, a veteran of the Kuomintang and a well-known figure in Chinese culture and journalism, was born here.
The original residence included a wall door, a sedan hall, a main hall, a hall, and a quiet and small back patio. Except for the hall, which basically remained intact, the three front doors were almost razed to the ground during half a century of turmoil. In recent years, the People's Government of Zhouzhuang Town has hired skilled craftsmen to restore Ye Chuqian's former residence in accordance with its original style. In the hall, Ye Chuqian's portraits, writings, ink blots, and works painted by calligraphers and painters in memory of this Kuomintang veteran are arranged.
