Scenic spot introduction:

The Egyptian pyramids are known as the tallest ancient buildings and the first of the eight wonders of the world. They are huge buildings full of mystery and ancient legends, and are one of the national symbols of Egypt. They were built 4,500 years ago and are the tombs of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs (i.e. kings) and queens. Because they look like the Chinese character "金", they are translated as "pyramids".
Pyramids are square pyramid-shaped buildings built with huge stones. Nearly 100 pyramids of various sizes have been discovered so far, most of which were built during the Egyptian Old Kingdom. The ancient Egyptians' devout belief in God formed a deep-rooted "concept of the afterlife" very early on. They even believed that "life is just a short stay, and death is a permanent enjoyment." Influenced by this "concept of the afterlife," the ancient Egyptians prepared for death with sincerity and confidence when they were alive, and the tombs built by the pharaohs as kings were naturally the most luxurious. Around the second and third dynasties, the ancient Egyptians came up with the idea that the king would become a god after his death and his soul would ascend to heaven. The "Pyramid Inscriptions" wrote: "Build a ladder to heaven for him (the pharaoh) so that he can go up to heaven." The pyramid is such a ladder.
For modern people, the pyramids are a must-see tourist attraction in their lifetime. Only by seeing this spectacular scenery can you appreciate how wise the ancients were. But for archaeologists and historians, the pyramids are an unsolved mystery. The numbers with hidden meanings, the unknown builders and construction methods, and a series of puzzles are waiting for people to continuously discover and explore.

Attractions distribution:

Most of the pyramids are located in the desert of the Giza Plateau southwest of Cairo. They are magnificent in scale and sophisticated in structure.
