Introduction to Lisht: The two main pyramids of Lisht are those of Amenemhat I and his son Senuselt I, and are surrounded by ten later ones. The ruined auxiliary pyramid was built, and there is also a famous Fayyum oasis near List, located halfway between Dahshur and Meidum, about 100 kilometers away from Cairo. This place is considered to be close to the ancient city of Itawi ( Itjtawy (the actual location of the remains of the ancient city is uncertain) was the capital of ancient Egypt during the Twelfth Dynasty.
